De Dietrich boasts a long history, full of discoveries and innovations. Borne from generations of passion for excellence coupled with a desire to offer continual progressive solutions in a forever-changing world, De Dietrich has been at the forefront of life-changing technological advances for over 300 years.

Initially the business centred in the ironworking trade. Over successive centuries, De Dietrich expanded into the steel sector, decorative ironwork and railway rolling stock, with fine design and innovative solutions always the driving factor.

In 1910, De Dietrich ventured into homeware with the launch of the Mertzwiller Cooker – the founding product of all De Dietrich home appliances.

The brand name De Dietrich derives from a French family of the same name, a peerage honour having been bestowed upon the family by King Louis XV in 1761. The De Dietrich logo itself of a hunting horn has been in use since the 18th Century. Having originally been introduced by the De Dietrich family as a pre-cautionary guard against counterfeiting, it was also the first ‘brand logo’ to appear in France.

De Dietrich is renowned as a supplier of market-leading premium kitchenware appliances that are innovative as well as beautiful in their design. De Dietrich has continued to pioneer technological advances in the homeware market, regularly introducing ground-breaking innovations and concepts.
